Taylor began her YouTube career with a simple ASMR videos on her mobile. PewDiePie featured her in a gaming online video not long after she had topped 50,000 subscribers about 1 1/2months after uploading her initial video. Taylor's Youtube channel had reached 100,000 users within two months. Taylor ceased to produce videos and uploaded them to the internet in private. Her main reasons were technical problems, equipment issues, and also she felt overwhelmed by her fame. Following a break of a few days, she started creating videos. The most popular ASMR triggers was ASMR 10 Triggers that aid in falling asleep (35 million views in August 2022). ASMR 20, Triggers for Sleeping was released in July of 2017 and is now followed by more than 38 million users. In August of 2017, she was interviewed by Shane Dawson for his video, and soon afterward, reached 1 million YouTube users. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue estimated that she earned $1000 per month through her YouTube channel.

Helfer was born in the rural area of Donalda, Alberta, Canada, to Dennis Elaine and Dennis Elaine Helfer. The two are of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian heritage. She went to the William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler (Alberta). Her three sisters, Tammy, Tara and Trena resided and worked on their family's farm. Helfer was discovered at age 17 by a scout from a modeling agency when she was waiting in line at the movie theater.
